We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer/Designer candidate looking to start or advance their career with an award-winning, full-service design and consulting firm!
At EAPC, our team of architects, engineers, interior designers, construction managers, and other professionals work together to create stunning structures and designs for optimum performance.
As a Mechanical Engineer/Designer, you will:
- Provide team integration with engineers and project managers for detailed HVAC/Plumbing/Building Automation Systems designs to meet project requirements such as concept sketches, electronic drawings, BIM (LOD 200, 300, and clash detection analysis), and system design layouts
- Work with all departments (i.e. architecture/structural/MEP) for providing quality construction documents related to a variety of industry buildings and facilities.
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports, energy and plumbing calculations
- Attend site visits for as-built condition verification of HVAC, plumbing, and Building control systems
- Support construction administration by assisting in site observations, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and as-built to record documentation.
- Contribute to continued development of EAPC BIM Standards teams
- Must be able to accommodate and meet customer demands within deadlines
- Verify and interpret applicable codes and regulations
- Perform additional duties/assignments related to project as required by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related degree combined with 4-10 years of mechanical design experience in the HVAC/Plumbing/Building Controls engineering and construction industry
- Must be highly proficient with experience utilizing AutoDesk REVIT (3D BIM LOD 200 and 300), BIM 360, and AutoCAD MEP
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software
- Willingness to work occasional overtime to meet deadlines
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without a sponsored visa
This position will report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Regional Manager and will work as an integrated member of a multi-disciplinary, in-house team of engineers, architects, and drafting technicians. Job title and compensation is dependent on qualifications.
