The school plumber maintains all plumbing systems in district facilities to ensure safe and continuous operation. Such oversight includes maintaining the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures.

Employee must be able to: continuously walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend/kneel, reach, and lift heavy object. The work environment may include tiring and uncomfortable positions, especially around gas lines, fumes and potentially hazardous chemicals. The position requires frequent districtwide travel and there is risk of exposure to extreme temperatures.
The employee will be expected to operate the following:
(1) Hand/power tools; (2) pipe bender; (3) propane torch/ welding equipment; (4) sewer/drain cleaners and augers; (5) heavy equipment, including forklift, trencher, backhoe; and (6) operate a light truck or van.
