Plumbing Dispatcher

Capps Plumbing & Sewer, Inc. is looking for a skilled full-time Plumbing Dispatcher to join our Wheeling, IL team. If you enjoy keeping things organized, solving problems, and supporting a fast-paced service operation, this customer service role is for you.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

This is a full-time customer service position with a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

All that you need is:

• 3+ years of dispatching or scheduling experience
• Proficiency with dispatching software, mapping tools, and standard office applications, including Microsoft Suite
• Strong geographical knowledge of Wheeling and the surrounding areas
• Ability to multitask effectively while remaining calm under pressure
• Strong organizational skills with dependable follow-through

Preferred:

• 5+ years of dispatching or scheduling experience, background in plumbing or another home service trade (HVAC, electrical, etc.)
• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service management software
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AS OUR PLUMBING DISPATCHER?

As a Plumbing Dispatcher, you will start your day receiving incoming service requests and evaluating each job for urgency, location, and required skills. You will assign plumbers to jobs and coordinate their routes to optimize efficiency. Throughout the day, you will communicate with customers to confirm appointments and provide arrival updates, while serving as the central hub between the office and field technicians. You will conduct job debriefs with technicians to ensure every job is fully completed and all necessary documentation is accurate.
