Pro Tech Mechanical is seeking a motivated Apprentice Commercial Plumber to join our growing team. This role supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems on large-scale commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, and interested in developing a long-term career in the mechanical trades.
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Pay: up to $25 per hour (DOE)
Type: Full time permanent employment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed plumbers with installation of commercial plumbing systems, including water, waste, and vent piping
- Support installation of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, floor drains, and specialty equipment
- Help with layout, measuring, cutting, and assembling pipe (PVC, copper, cast iron, etc.)
- Maintain tools, materials, and job site cleanliness
- Follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions from supervisors
- Adhere to all safety standards and company policies
- Assist in pressure testing, inspections, and system start-ups
- Work alongside other trades on large commercial/industrial job sites
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- TX Apprentice Plumbing card
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces
- Valid Drivers License in good standing.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous construction or plumbing experience
- Familiarity with commercial job sites
- Exposure to mechanical, HVAC, or MEP environments
