Commercial Service Plumbing Manager

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is a statewide provider of commercial skilled trade services with a Service Department that operates 24/7. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Service Plumbing Manager to provide leadership and support to our Plumbing Technicians while handling key administrative responsibilities related to commercial plumbing service, repair, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of commercial plumbing supervisory experience in the role of a Service Manager, along with hands-on commercial plumbing experience in service, tenant improvements, and/or new construction. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. 

Responsibilities

• Schedule, delegate and review work order activities for commercial plumbing field staff in coordination with dispatch and account managers
• Achieve departmental objectives and goals by effectively managing field technicians
• Provide phone support to service technicians and assist in identifying solutions
• Forecast and schedule plumbing equipment, tools and materials
• Train and coach technicians on commercial service plumbing techniques and best practices
• Manage personnel in compliance with state laws, company policies and established protocols
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, supervisors, field technicians and internal departments
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the growth and success of the service plumbing department

• Minimum of five years of journeyman-level commercial plumbing experience
• Recent and relevant supervisory experience in commercial plumbing, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role
• Above-average troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in cell phone applications, Microsoft Office, and web-based software
