Junior Plumbing Estimator

We are seeking a Junior Plumbing Estimator to join our commercial team. This position will assist in preparing competitive project estimates and change orders for commercial plumbing work. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in commercial plumbing installation, familiarity with plumbing materials and knowledge of commercial plumbing code requirements. We also desire a minimum of two years of estimating experience, with a proven ability to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of commercial plumbing projects. 

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit plumbing proposals for commercial projects under the direction of management
• Interpret and review blueprints, project schematics, and specifications to determine material and labor requirements
• Obtain and utilize pricing quotes from internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Enter and maintain large volumes of data in estimating software and databases
• Incorporate new industry trends, materials, and best practices into estimates
• Participate in department meetings regarding estimates and ongoing projects
• Perform additional clerical duties as needed to support the department

• Minimum of two years of recent experience in commercial plumbing estimating projects
• Proficient knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
• Knowledge of local and regional plumbing codes and regulations desired
• Proficient utilizing estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient alpha-numeric data entry with the ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM
