As part of the maintenance team, you will perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades, with a primary emphasis on plumbing operations to ensure the facility remains safe and fully functional. Duties will include completing preventive maintenance activities such as visual inspections, lubrication, minor adjustments, component replacement, and the cleaning of pumps, controls, air compressors, lavatories, commodes, traps, and temperature regulators. You will be responsible for all aspects of plumbing work, including the repair, replacement, modification, and installation of hospital water, waste, storm, and compressed air utility systems, as well as steam, hot water, forced air, and ventilation systems. This position requires the safe and effective use of hand and power tools for cutting, drilling, and threading pipe and other materials, along with performing sewer cleaning using approved techniques. Additionally, you will support maintenance and repair efforts in other trades such as carpentry, electrical work, and painting, while consistently following established safety rules, procedures, and best practices.
