DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
$24.00 an hour or BOE. This position maintains, repairs, and installs the plumbing, piping, and water systems throughout property. Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber service to all patrons/employees.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of the properties potable water supply, grease waste, sanitary waste, gas supply, and chill water lines both in and from the buildings and in ground.
- Operate and maintain properties potable hot water boilers and systems.
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, valves, seals, and fixtures of heating, cooling, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Repair and replace broken drain line, clogged drains, faucets, traps, etc.
- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves to appliances such as dishwashers and water heaters, and fixtures such as sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools.
- Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring
- Responds promptly to emergency situations and ensures that service is restored, either temporarily or permanently, with minimum delay.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree or technical certificate preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in potable water, waste water, and plumbing trade.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Practical understanding and working knowledge of water distribution and disposal systems in a commercial environment.
- Individual must have the ability to complete multiple assignments under time constraints and work with multiple trades when needed.

Must have a working understanding the building piping supply systems including but not limited to HVAC and chill water piping, cold and hot water supply and return systems, and natural gas supply systems.
- The ability to read and understand blueprints or drawings and plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water supply systems.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours).
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino; from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
