Plumber/Maintenance Technician - Substitute

Reports To: Facility Manager

Function:
Provide a safe, clean, and well-maintained school environment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Master Plumber License required

• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, including plumbing and general repairs.
• Working knowledge of plumbing fixtures, pipe repair/installation, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in multiple trades preferred (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, masonry, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license with no serious violations.
• Ability to meet physical and health requirements.
• Successful criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship.
• Black Seal Boiler License and Asbestos Certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and plumbing repairs in accordance with all codes and regulations.

Ensure safe work practices and conditions at all times.

Respond to emergency maintenance needs.

Conduct inspections and report hazards or equipment issues.

Maintain tools, equipment, and repair supplies.

Work cooperatively with custodial and maintenance staff.

Hours - This position has no set hours and operates on an on-call basis. Employees may set their work schedule to meet their needs, which can be days/nights/weekend

Wage or Salary Information

Non-Certified Staff (Substitute Custodian):  Hourly $ 100.00
