The Plumber Tradeworker is responsible for assisting with the installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair of commercial plumbing systems on construction projects ranging from small tenant finish-outs to large-scale commercial developments. This role works closely with licensed plumbers, foremen, and superintendents to support safe, productive, and quality-driven field operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of commercial plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary waste, vent systems, storm drain systems, and underground piping
  • Support layout and installation of piping, fixtures, valves, hangers, and plumbing equipment according to project drawings and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction documents under supervision
  • Cut, thread, assemble, and secure pipes using hand tools and power tools
  • Assist with testing plumbing systems for leaks and functionality
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment at jobsites
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with company and OSHA standards
  • Work alongside field leadership to meet production schedules and project deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with foremen, superintendents, and fellow team members
  • Follow all company safety procedures including proper use of PPE and equipment
  • Participate in training opportunities to continue developing plumbing trade skills

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial plumbing or construction experience required
  • Basic understanding of construction tools and jobsite safety
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
  • Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn the plumbing trade
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
  • Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces when necessary
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

OSHA-10 certification is required. If you currently do not possess an OSHA-10, we will provide the opportunity to complete the course prior to employment.

Working Conditions

  • Work performed on active commercial construction sites
