Summary
The Plumbing/Lining Helper is an entry-level role designed for individuals with limited or no plumbing experience who are beginning their career in the trades. Through the Bill Howe Helper Program-a structured, multi-department pre-apprenticeship track-Helpers receive hands-on exposure to various plumbing and lining disciplines while developing foundational technical, safety, and professional skills.
Helpers support technicians, foremen, and department leads on a variety of job sites and internal tasks, while progressing through rotational assignments that identify strengths, assess aptitude, and prepare them for long-term placement within the company.
The Helper Program ensures new hires gain meaningful, realistic experience across multiple departments before committing to a career track. This structure allows the company to:
