Plumbing Project Manager

A well-established commercial plumbing contractor in the San Jose area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial plumbing construction projects from preconstruction through completion.

This individual will play a key role in managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial plumbing construction projects from kickoff through closeout
• Coordinate with field teams, Superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors
• Track project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Maintain communication with general contractors, owners, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Monitor project costs and help maintain profitability goals
• Attend project meetings and provide regular project updates
• Assist with buyout and material procurement activities
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Support field operations and help resolve project issues proactively

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial plumbing or mechanical construction
• Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and construction processes
• Experience managing commercial projects such as healthcare, multifamily, office, industrial, education, or mixed-use developments preferred
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Experience with project management and construction software platforms
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary ranging from $120,000-$160,000 depending on experience
