Plumbing Service Manager

The Plumbing Service Manager plays a crucial role in our long-term success by aligning revenue growth with operational excellence. 

Position Summary:

The Plumbing Service Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the residential plumbing service team. This role is focused on driving departmental revenue, maintaining gross margin, ensuring exceptional customer service, and developing field service technicians. The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-oriented, and committed to delivering results through operational excellence and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Certified Plumbers & Apprentices to achieve departmental goals.
• Manage departmental performance including service revenue, gross margin, job completion timelines, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain service forecasts, budget plans, and work-in-progress reports.
• Drive sales of plumbing system replacements, equipment upgrades, and preventative maintenance services.
• Conduct regular 1-on-1meetings, performance reviews, and corrective coaching when necessary to help our employees be the best version of themselves.
• Support staff development through ongoing training, guidance, and accountability to daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
• Oversee compliance with all local and state plumbing codes and company safety standards.
• Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new service technicians.
• Collaborate closely with Dispatch and Warehouse teams to ensure scheduling and material readiness are optimized.
• Submit timely and accurate data for payroll, billing, accounts payable, vehicle tracking, and HR.

• 3 years of experience in plumbing service, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of residential plumbing systems and local code compliance (preferred or similar) 
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and revenue goals.
• Proven experience in coaching and developing field technicians.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-first environment.
• Proficient in basic computer systems and reporting tools.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
