Plumbing Service Manager

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a statewide provider of commercial skilled trade services, and our service department is open 24/7. The Plumbing Service Manager is responsible for providing supervisory support to Plumbing Technicians and administrative duties within the scope of commercial plumbing service, repair and troubleshooting techniques. The ideal candidate should have at least two-years of commercial plumbing supervisory experience in addition to commercial plumbing experience within service, tenant improvements or new construction. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, delegate and review work order activities for commercial plumbing field staff in coordination with dispatch and account managers
• Achieve departmental objectives and goals by effectively managing field technicians
• Provide phone support to service technicians and assist in identifying solutions
• Forecast and schedule plumbing equipment, tools and materials
• Train and coach technicians on commercial service plumbing techniques and best practices
• Manage personnel in compliance with state laws, company policies and established protocols
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, supervisors, field technicians and internal departments
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the growth and success of the service plumbing department

• Minimum of five years of journeyman-level commercial plumbing experience
• Recent and relevant supervisory experience in commercial plumbing, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role
• Above-average troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in cell phone applications, Microsoft Office, and web-based software
