Non-ExemptJob Description:
Install and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, faucets, showers, drinking fountains, and water heaters.
Install and maintain pipes for water, gas, air, and other liquid systems.
Assemble and install fittings, valves, and backflow devices.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe for installations.
Clear obstructions from plumbing systems and fixtures.
Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues.
Receive, prioritize, and distribute work orders according to division procedures.
Estimate project materials from blueprints and purchase necessary supplies.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
Lead work crews on jobsites and direct daily operations.
Plan and assign work while addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Additional duties as assigned.
Associate degree or high school diploma with some additional continuing education through certification program
6 - 10 years of experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with plumbing systems in commercial or municipal facilities
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications
Experience using digital devices for work order management
Confined Space Training Certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
Respiratory Training Certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
Valid state issued driver's license
May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Works extended hours, as necessary, during shutdowns of equipment and/or buildings.
