Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of applicable State and City codes and standards; knowledge of construction practices, building plan review; permitting and inspection processes; and computer software applicable to the field. Skills in: performing complex plan reviews and inspections; reading and interpreting complex codes and standards; scheduling, assigning, training and directing the work of others; prioritizing work and establishing a work plan; utilizing a computer in the course of work and analyzing data and preparing reports. Ability to: communicate effectively orally and in writing; and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Education and Experience:
Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
