Boiler Plumbing Technician

Energo, a leading provider of energy supply, HVAC, and emergency heating service for residential and commercial properties, is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Boiler Plumbing Technician. Our technicians operate in a fast-paced 365-day company and are an integral part of our organization. Become part of a team of Technicians serving our customers throughout the New York metro area. Our main office is in Woodside, NY, which is where this position will start from daily. We service residential and commercial properties, schools, and municipalities.

Candidate must possess excellent customer service, communication, listening, time-management skills, and be a team player. Salary Range $25 to $65 per hour

Plumber Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Respond to customer service requests related to mechanical issues with the domestic hot water or space heating equipment and work alongside and assist other employees in completing assigned work orders.
  • Work with other Energo employees to remove, deliver and properly assemble small, medium, and large boiler sections for a completely new boiler installation.
  • Replace boiler domestic hot water (DHW) coils on small cast-iron boilers and large scotch marine boilers.
  • Replace DHW coil plates as needed.
  • Repair and install DHW mixing valves.
  • Repair & install general boiler water and steam controls, water feeder, low water cut-offs, backflows, pressuretrols, aqua-stats etc.
  • Steam fit boiler steam headers by threading.
  • Perform plumbing repairs and pipe replacement related to heating equipment, oil fuel lines, gas lines, water lines and steam lines for general service calls or for new installations.
  • Repair mechanical heating equipment and their associated systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and servicing of mechanical heating equipment and their associated systems.
  • Perform tasks, report deficiencies, and maintain and complete daily records of labor and materials used.
  • Continually communicate with supervisor(s) regarding any apparent operational deficiencies or system malfunctions.
  • Process paperwork including service tickets, work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance forms.
  • Attend and participate in all departmental training and meetings.
  • Perform any duties assigned in an emergency as determined by management.
  • Collect payments from customers when required.

  • Perform tasks, report deficiencies, and maintain and complete daily records of labor and materials used.
  • Continually communicate with supervisor(s) regarding any apparent operational deficiencies or system malfunctions
  • Process paperwork including but not limited to service tickets, work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance forms
  • Attend and participate in all departmental trainings and meetings
  • Attend and complete relevant on-the-job training as required.
  • Must be safety focused with an ability to demonstrate the safe operation of the assigned Company service vehicle.
  • Provide exceptional customer satisfaction on a daily basis while interacting with customers
  • Possess a drive, determination, professionalism, and the desire to be a significant factor in growing our business
  • Work safely and use safety equipment; be familiar with and adhere to EPA and OSHA policies
  • Ensure that Company and Government safety, policy and regulatory standards are met and maintain zero preventable incidents
  • Provide services and interact with customers to ensure that we provide all of our customers with the best possible satisfaction
  • Collect payments from customers
  • Report to work as scheduled with minimal absenteeism or tardiness
  • Attend job related training and informational seminars as requested
