Basic Plumbing Services

  • Faucet and toilet installation or replacement

  • Showerhead upgrades

  • P-trap cleaning and maintenance

  • Garbage disposal replacement

  • Shutoff valve installation

  • Water pressure adjustments

  • Minor pipe leak repairs

Extensive Plumbing & Repair Services

  • Extensive drain clog removal

  • Leak detection (moisture sensors or pressure testing)

  • Partial pipe rerouting

  • Toilet flange repairs

  • Water heater replacement (up to 75 gallons)

  • Sump pump installation

  • ADA-compliant fixture upgrades

  • Urinal services

  • Backflow preventer installation and testing

Advanced & Specialized Services

  • Hydro jetting of main lines

  • Sewer camera inspections (CCTV)

  • Trenchless sewer repair

Responsibilities 

As a Journeyman Plumber at Momentus Field Service, you will perform a variety of commercial plumbing tasks across Virginia. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures such as:

    • Faucets, toilets, showerheads, garbage disposals, urinals, and water heaters

  • Perform minor and extensive pipe leak repairs

  • Conduct drain cleaning and clog removal using standard plumbing tools and hydro-jetting equipment

  • Carry out sewer camera inspections (CCTV) for system diagnostics

  • Detect leaks using moisture sensors, thermal imaging, or acoustic detection tools

  • Reroute or modify existing piping systems as needed

  • Install and maintain:

    • Backflow preventers

    • Sump pumps

    • ADA-compliant fixtures

    • Booster and recirculation pump systems

  • Support installation and maintenance of commercial water heating systems (including high-capacity units)

  • Perform trenchless pipe repair and related underground work

  • Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety regulations

  • Document service reports accurately and maintain communication with dispatch and clients

  • Provide emergency plumbing response when required


     

    Requirements

  • Comprehensive plumbing training and hands-on experience, typically gained through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent education and background

  • Journeyman Plumber License for the State of Virginia (or a reciprocity state)

  • Minimum 1 year of professional plumbing experience

  • Backflow certification preferred but not mandatory

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license

  • Must have a clean driving record, as required by company policy, to operate company vehicles or job-related equipment.
