Position Summary:
The Pipefitter is responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems used in commercial and industrial construction environments. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, accurately determine piping layouts, and install a variety of piping materials and systems to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant operation. The Pipefitter works collaboratively within a team, prioritizes job site safety, and consistently delivers high-quality workmanship that meets company and customer expectations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ability to read and interpret piping blueprints to determine the layout and specifications for piping systems.
• Ability to run various types and sizes of pipe (this includes: black iron thread pipe, copper pipe, Victaulic pipe, sch 40 & 80 pvc, etc.)
• Experience in weld, solder, or cement joints on pipes and fittings would be a plus.
• Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.
• Experience with operating aerial lifts.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):
• Pipefitter that is experienced in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using various tools and equipment, including saws, pipe benders, and welding machines.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to piping systems.
• May require completion of an apprenticeship program and relevant certifications in pipefitting or plumbing.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
This is very physical, hands-on work. A Pipefitter must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body such as crawling, climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, occasional walking and handling materials up to 50 pounds. Will work in constrained or confined spaces. Must have good hand eye coordination, able to stand for long periods of time, and have attention to fine detail. Willing and able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment and/or outdoors in all types of weather, and over uneven ground or terrain.
