Responsible Master Plumber (RMP)
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $35-45/hr (Based on Experience) + Performance Bonuses
Launch and lead plumbing operations for a growing residential service company in Fort Worth. As the Responsible Master Plumber, you will oversee all fieldwork, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality service while managing teams and projects. This hands-on role suits licensed pros ready to build a reliable business from the ground up, focusing on customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise journeymen and apprentices on installations, repairs, and maintenance of residential plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and drainage.
- Ensure all work complies with Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) standards, local codes, and safety protocols.
- Diagnose complex issues, provide expert troubleshooting, and coordinate timely resolutions for customer calls.
- Manage daily scheduling, inventory, and vendor relationships to keep projects on budget and on time.
- Train staff, conduct quality checks, and represent the company during inspections or client interactions.
- Maintain accurate records, work orders, and licensing documentation as the RMP qualifier.
Qualifications
- Active Texas Master Plumber license and RMP designation (required).
- 5+ years of residential plumbing experience, with proven supervisory skills.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, tools, and systems (e.g., gas lines, sewer, water supply).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver's license, clean record; able to pass background check and drug test.
- Proficiency with plumbing software and Microsoft Office for documentation.
